Sept. 7, from freebacon - Great overall service. Professional and responsive staff. Had a recent, high cost, busted water main repair need. Peter Kristiansen came out quickly and gave me a thorough and detailed estimate for cost, as well as type and time for the required work. His staff completed work on schedule with minimal disruption to my family’s routine. Prior to commencing work, I called several competitors to compare estimates. They either never showed up, or showed up late and gave me estimates almost double the one by Pete.

April 3, from Sam J – “We have a unique experience with this company please read on, it is valuable. We are tennant renting a home from a private landlord. We mentioned teh heating cooling system is smelling bad, they cam with their contractor to diagnoose, they walked away with what was estimated in over 5000$ worth of repairs. The landlord called us to tell us we failed to properly maintain the unit ( we lived here for 6 months) and we are in breach on the lease. I called jiffy PH at 1 pm to send someone not to repair teh unit but just to diagnose it. I stated clearly that no matter what, they will not be performing any repairs ( this is usually a deterant for contractors, they would rather not waste teh hour and go to a job they can fix and charge for). 2 hours later, Pete K showed up after 2 follow up phone calls en route. I explained teh situation again and he had no issues diagnosing the unit. which he did in about 10 minutes, an hour less than the landlord’s contractor. He took his time to explin what is happening in details, and went on to write a detailed report explaining the problem and the fix. in teh hundreds of dollars. I liked the service, the honesty, and the proffesionalism knowing well it is a 80 buks job and no more will come out of it. His card is in my wallet and i will be emailing everyone i know in the area and refering as much as possible. People in this business like pete are rare and they deserve our business, because they are honest.”

April 11th – service plumber Bawla Lalrarawngawla through Rebuilding Together helped Barbara in NE Washington DC. Bawla repaired a 1 1/2″ trap for a lavy sink, snaked the lavy drain line and replaced a three handle diverter.
April 18th – HVAC service tech Shaun Gloster repaired a furnace for a customer in Upper Marlboro. Shaun not only corrected the heating issue but also repaired the A/C.
April 28th – Thomas Johnson helped diagnose a problem on a main sewer in SE Washington DC. Thomas’ diagnostic result required extensive work to repair that Rebuilding Together needs to explore other options.
